ChBE PhD Candidate Wins AIChE Award
Alexandra Lupulescu, a Ph.D. candidate performing research with assistant professor Jeffrey Rimer, is the 2nd place winner of the 2012 AIChE Environmental Division's graduate student award, for the paper titled "Tailoring Silicalite-1 Crystal Morphology with Molecular Modifiers" published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition.
Lupulescu is also the winner of the 2012 AIChE Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Division Poster Competition, for her poster titled “Employing Molecular Modifiers to Tailor the Crystal Morphology of Zeolite Catalysts.”
She was selected by the CRE Division Travel Awards Committee to receive the award for travel to the AIChE Annual Meeting.
