During my 10-year career with Chevron Energy Technology Company, my aim has been to discover novel zeolite materials of utility in various catalytic applications. Yet, there exist a broad range of research programs within the Catalysis, Separations and Reactor Science Department at Chevron. For my seminar, I will highlight several catalytic research programs that have reached commercial success, and then delve into the role of zeolites in catalysis. I will describe our team’s approach to zeolite innovation and synthesis, for which many advances have been made over the past decade. Exemplary zeolite discoveries that were enabled through advances in molecular modeling and materials characterization will then be discussed in detail.
