Dr. Ahmed Elzatahry brings over 25 years of academic and research expertise in nanocomposites and nanomaterials synthesis, specializing in mesoporous materials, 2D materials, and deep polymer materials processing with significant applications in renewable energy, catalysis, and biomedical fields. He received his PhD in Applied Chemistry from Al-Azhar University in 2007, followed by postdoctoral appointments at Virginia Commonwealth University. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Elzatahry has led numerous innovative research projects, resulting in an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications and patents, and has successfully secured and managed research grants through interdisciplinary collaborations spanning national and international institutions. He has demonstrated his impact in the field with over 200 journal articles published, amassing over 15,000 citations, and holding an impressive h-index of 70. Dr. Elzatahry served as Dean of Graduate Studies at Qatar University from 2016 to 2020 and as Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Qatar University from 2021 to 2023. His strong communication, project management, and data analysis skills ensure efficient and successful research outcomes.
