Petroleum Engineering Program—Advising

The Program Director for Petroleum Engineering is Dr. Raymond W. Flumerfelt. Once accepted into the graduate program, part-time students will be advised how to schedule courses sufficient for the Petroleum Engineering Master of Science Degree program. Likewise, full-time students will be advised how to complete the required courses within a period of 1 1/2 years.

Students may elect whether to complete the Non-thesis Option, requiring 36 credit hours of approved courses beyond the introductory level in Petroleum Engineering or the Thesis Option requiring 24 credit hours of approved courses beyond the introductory level in Petroleum Engineering plus 6 credit hours dedicated to the Master Thesis. (Offered on Special Basis and Limited Availability)
