—Organizations—

  • American Automatic Control Council
The American Automatic Control Council (AACC) is an association of the control systems divisions of eight member societies, including AIChE. The AACC is the US National Member Organization of IFAC. The AACC Sponsor the American Control Conference (ACC) held annually usually in June and publishes a semiannual Newsletter.

  • American Institute of Chemical Engineers
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a 55,000+ member nonprofit organization that provides leadership in the chemical engineering profession. AIChE develops programs to advance the theory and practice of the profession, uphold high professional standards and ethics, and support excellence in education.

  • Computing and Systems Technology
The purpose of Computing and Systems Technology is to promote the activities of AIChE Area 10, also known as the CAST Division. Postings to the CAST email-list are automatically archived on this web site.

  • International Federation of Automatic Control
The purpose of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) is to promote the science and technology of control in the broadest sense in all systems, whether, for example, engineering, physical, biological, social or economic, in both theory and application. IFAC is also concerned with the impact of control technology on society.

—Journals—

  • Automatica
Automatica publishes papers on original theoretical and experimental research and development in the control of systems, involving all facets of automatic control theory and its applications. Preferably, theoretical papers should include applications; papers dealing with components and systems should include theoretical background and, where appropriate, economic implications.

  • AIChE Journal
The AIChE Journal is the premier research monthly in chemical engineering and related fields. This peer-reviewed and broad-based journal reports on the most important and latest technological advances in core areas of chemical engineering as well as in other relevant engineering disciplines.

  • Journal of Process Control
The Journal of Process Control covers the application of control theory, operations research, computer science and engineering principles to the solution of process control problems. Topics covered include: Control applications, Plant monitoring, Plant-wide control, Process control systems, Control techniques and algorithms Process modelling and simulation & Design methods

—Software—

  • The MathWorks
The MathWorks is the leading developer and supplier of technical computing software. It provides an ultimate technical computing environment for numeric computation, visualization and simulation. Their main products are Matlab which is an integrated technical computing environment and Simulink for dynamical system simulation.
